Dr. Sami Stokes was born and raised in Kearney, Missouri. She attended Kearney High school and participated in cross country and track. After her senior year of high school, she attended William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri on a scholarship for running. Injuries plagued her entire running career, but her experiences with chiropractic care not only helped her to overcome those injuries but became the foundation for her life passion. She decided to graduate from William Woods a year early in pursuit of accomplishing her real dream of helping other people just like herself.

Dr. Sami has a passion for helping people get back to what they love doing most whether that be running a race, playing with your grand-kids, or just being the best person you can be. She’s married to her high-school sweetheart, Paul. Together they enjoy traveling, hiking, and experiencing great cuisine. Dr. Sami and Paul are working to build the wonderful life they’ve always imagined

Dr. Rylie-Shea Muhlbauer was born in manning, Iowa. Growing up on her family farm taught her how to work with her hands at an early age. She attended Morningside University for her undergraduate degree studying Business Management and Finance minoring in Sports Management. She later attended Cleveland University before earning her doctorate of chiropractic.

Dr. Rylie originally joined the Adjusted for life family to cover dr. sami’s maternity leave. she quickly became family. her levels of sympathy and enthusiasm spread to everyone in the office. her love for her patients is obvious as she cares for them.

Dr. Rylie has played volleyball all her life. From when she was a little girl, all the way through her time at morningside. when she was younger, an injury with her hip fostered a love for chiropractic’s healing capabilities. ever since that experience she has wanted to help others heal from injuries.

every patient that comes through the door is a new opportunity to help someone. Dr. Rylie is drawn especially towards helping those dealing with athletic injuries and improving their performance. dr. rylie hopes to expand her practice into earning an sfma or selective functional movement assessment certification in the near future.

Dr. Sami and her husband took over the adjusted For life family chiropractic practice back in may of 2019. its founder, dr. zoe SHelden, started the practice back in 2018. Dr. zoe had decided to move and was going to close the practice. Through a friend of a friend, and a few well placed conversations, dr. zoe approached dr. sami about taking over the practice. dr. sami was thrilled by the idea of returning to her hometown. now she is continuing what dr. zoe started and looking forward to growing the adjusted for life family!
